Ian
Head Gardener
Now in his fifties, like many of his generation, Ian began learning his gardening skills from a young age by helping his grandmother in her garden so he could earn pocket money.
This love of plants and trees led to further pocket money earning opportunities by helping family friends and neighbours in their gardens, and thereby establishing a lifelong love for the outdoors.
By his twenties, Ian was working at the prestigious Windsor Court Estate adjoining Windsor Great Park in Surrey. Here Ian developed his skills in 25 acres of mature formal gardens, learning skills he could never learn in domestic gardens.
By his forties, Ian's company: Rainsborough & Son was designing and building beautiful gardens, large and small across North Surrey.
Ian moved to Sheringham in 2021 and is now helping North Norfolk residents enjoy their gardens as much as he enjoys his
